One hundred thousand welcomes from the Donegal House team.

Donegal House is steeped with local history and has a unique welcoming and relaxed Irish atmosphere unrivalled in New Zealand. With your very own self contained Irish Stone Cottage set in 6 acres of tranquil gardens & lakes you have an ideal setting away from the work place for creativity & inspiration to thrive.

The Donegal House Conference & Event pack will give you all the information you need at this stage but of course if anything is left unanswered, the Donegal team are always happy to help and to work with you to ensure a successful conference.


The Irish Stone Cottage

Built in the style of the traditional Irish stone cottages lived in by the ancestors of Murray Boyd, the owner of Donegal House, it is a totally unique venue.

The Stone cottage has an Irish theme in décor and features impressive macrocarpa tables that will seat 100 people, boardroom style, with room to add extra tables for numbers up to 140. Depending on the style & size of conference/event you are looking for the large tables can be rearranged or moved out completely. We have smaller tables as well as 10 round tables available for you to use.

Completely self contained with toilets, retractable screen, ceiling mounted projector, lectern with microphone & hand held microphone, stage area & sound system with DVD & Video functions & wireless internet; it is private from the main hotel bar & restaurant area. Private Bar & kitchen facilities are available on request please ask for more information when booking.

Subject to the time of year and other bookings the Stone cottage is generally available to you from 3pm the day before the conference/event for you to set up and arrange however you wish.

The venue hire rate for conferences or event hire is $200 per day, inclusive of all equipment.

Gardens & Lakes

Our gardens & lakes are another fantastic feature making Donegal House a versatile conference & event venue. Available for team building games, discussions, and separate group work and of course for lunch and breaks. The gardens lend themselves for practical team/leadership tasks where space is a necessity with many suitable locations to choose from.

Total rooms: 29 private rooms all ensuited, 18 of which can be used as twin rooms.

Food

We have a variety of menu options to suit your needs/ requirements / budget and numbers. From the restaurant menus, set menu & finger food/BBQ options we will work with you to create the best option for you.

Donegal House requires confirmation of the total numbers 10 working days prior to the conference/event. The final numbers provided at this stage will be the catering number charged to the account .If the people numbers go up please provide as much notice as possible and we will cater and charge accordingly.

Drinks

The restaurant & bar are both available for you to use during your stay. You also have the option to organise a bar tab should you wish to. All drinks purchased at the bar are at standard bar prices.

Booking your Event with us

If you would like to book your conference/event at Donegal House then contact us with your preferred date(s) and providing they are available we'll happily book you in.

Once you have a confirmed date we would require the venue charge of $200 per day to hold the date(s) free for you.

Please note if the booking is cancelled with us this venue hire charge is non-refundable.

At this point we will discuss any accommodation requirements your group may have & the menus in more detail.

All prices quoted are subject to change.

The account is to be paid in full on the day of departure unless other arrangements have pre organised.

So we can ensure your conference or training event runs smoothly and you have all your requirements met, please indicate in the boxes what facilities you would like available and either fax or e-mail them to us a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your event.

We can supply the following to you (included in the venue / hire charge)
